Each year The Anika James Award is given to an outstanding high school female music theater singer by the Anika James Foundation. The 2018 recipient is Sara Gordon and her teacher is Catherine Alderman).
Each year the Sharon Szymanski Award is given to an outstanding high school male music theater singer by the North Carolina Chapter of NATS. The 2018 recipient is Joseph Sherer and his teacher Wendy Jones.
